After my NBW beer, still pregaming for my wife's high school reunion. Who knows what kind of beer they will offer or what kind of stranger I'll be stuck talking to.

Horace Tapscott spinning. Simply titled The Quintet. A kind of "lost album" that wasn't released until this year. Tapscott is a great Houston born piano player, that went out to LA and was playing is some pretty avant garde bands, but also mixes in very traditional jazz as well.

 

Ah... when North shows up, it's time for another beer... *trots off*

When i flipped into the game it was not looking good for Sooner faithful...OK is the land of great running backs from yesteryear!

Grew up in mid-Michigan as a Detroit Lie-downs fan and was able to enjoy the magic of Billy until his heartbreaking injury in '84.

Not to offend you but Barry Sanders was one of the greatest running backs in the history of football. Fell in love watching him at OSU and of course with the Lions. Again, another beautiful talent wasted on a crappy franchise with historically bad ownership.

And then there is Thurman Thomas who was awesome with the Bills but unfortunately for the Mafia faithful could not win the big game.

Back with another one of these Migration FoP fresh hop beers. Gotta say, the use of strata in this beer is pretty dynamite as it's not usually one of my favorite hops.

This ain't no Founders Imperial Stout, but it's much better than the highly over-rated Old Rasputin or Ten Fidy. And not as hoppy as Bell's Expedition Stout.
