Slow day at the restaurant to put it mildly. Havent been out for ages so met up with the Mrs for some Chinese and a couple scorpion bowls. Not feeling it. Need my beer.

Roggenbier is not a German weizen beer.

Roggen = rye
Weizen = wheat

They should've described it as Dunkelweizen-like, but instead of Wheat, it's Rye.

 

Greetings, I didn't think daily savings applied in Australia. Every time I was there it was basically vey bright and relentlessly daytime. It felt good!

Here’s a special one. 2nd Shift/Perennial collaboration celebrating The Wine & Cheese Place’s 40th anniversary (great local liquor store chain which I frequent) with a barrel aged English Barleywine aged in George Remus & High West bourbon barrels. This is a decadent treat with lots of sweet malt, bourbon, and vanilla.

 

I did take a hard look at that first letter. About 40% sure I got it right. Just trying to keep it PG for our younger barmates. Cheers!

I'm not sure if this tune is allowed on WBAYDN. Definitely a hidden gem that may seem like rubbish on the first few listens. The genius is revealed and keeps revealing on subsequent listens. The live versions took on a life of their own...Cheers!
