I was drinking my last Fruhauf Oktoberfest yesterday and noticed it was brewed by the Pollyanna Brewing Co. Waunakee, WI. Anyone know anything about Pollyanna contract brewing at Octopi? @FBarber checked a few different labels at his local and saw a mix of Illinois and Wisconsin labeling. Funny to think Pollyanna is being brewed alongside the latest Aldi labels.
Correct, Pollyanna is pretty large at this point and simply cannot dedicate enough tanks at one time to brew Fruhauf for the demand, so they contract brew it (I happen to live next to one of the co-owners). They have three brewpubs with three separate Octoberfest parties, cannot even begin to imagine how much they go through at each party.
