    Seedz Cerveza Seedz Negra (Dark Mexican Lager). Chicago has one of the best craft lager scenes in the U.S. with breweries like Goldfinger, Dovetail, Metropolitan, etc., but Seedz up in SW Michigan (1.5 hours-ish away) does it on the same level. Their regular Mexican lager is one of my favorites of the style. This one is just as good with touch more malt complexity.

    It's been too long since I've had a good black IPA and the Lawson's folks did a great job on Big Hoppy. The thing that I love about this style is that I don't have to decide on what style as it hits. all. my. preferred. buttons.
    Roast? Check.
    Hops? Check.
    Barnyard Saison whiff? CHECK.

    I understand that it may not be common anymore but I mourn Black IPA's fade in popularity. It's so welcome in these transitional, seasonal moments.

    Alesmith Hop Cypher, IPA 6.5% collab with Other Half. I like this better on the second can since my brain isn’t expecting their regular IPA, which I love and I’m finding this is good in its own right, and a little hoppier than previously thought, cheers!

    This is a cellar pull. I purchased this beer at Greenbush in the summer of 2021. I either:

    A) Didn't mean to buy it.

    Or

    B) Didn't mean to put it in the cellar.
