Hint #1: the max output of the largest river in my targets state, is roughly equivalent to the largest river in my county.
#2: the longest river in my targets state is less 311 miles long.
#3: water from my targets state will touch at least 3 states, but no more than 11 states, before a river dumps it into an ocean.
#4: my targets state has at least 11 examples of multiple rivers having the same name.
#5: a river near (let's say 75 miles) me, the Skagit River, is a few miles longer, and has a slightly higher (let's say within 1711 cubic feet per second) output than a river within the same parameters of my target, the xxxxxx River.

...I'll be driving through the UP (if @GreenBayBA doesn't keep me in WI due to pro wrestling moves gone bad ala @DoctorZombies at 3 Sheeps), cross the Mackinac Bridge and wind my way just north of Torch Lake (Eastport) where my old USAF friend's farm is (Big Medicine Ranch, he calls it -- has a coffee roasting business under that trade name), will probably hit Short's Brewery (again) and then wind my way into OH (likely down US 127) around Nov 01st...date and route diversions are a distinct possibility...:sunglasses:

[IMG] The first out of a killer LIF box from @WunderLlama and much needed after today. I had a vasectomy this afternoon and pretty much feel like I’ve been kicked in the nuts repeatedly. This ought to help.

I’ve been big into “smoothie sour” type beers for the last year or so. Obviously they’re hated by a lot of purists but I’ve found them to be refreshing and often times a fun play on flavors.

This variety; “Twice the Daily Serving” comes as a highly rated “fruited kettle sour” although the brewers label it a Berliner. All that aside, I have come to find it as what I would call a refined version of a smoothie sour.

Bursting a bright purple with a half finger of pink foam, all the tart goodness and fruit aromas create a mesmerizing bouquet. This version in particular contains: raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, and cranberry. All of these are present in both the nose and the flavor as well as a slightly tart and acidic finish.

The feel is tough to discern and also where it draws parallels to the aforementioned beers. There is no residual fruit purée in this beer. There is no sludge of fruit and/or coagulated ingredients in the can. It does however have a very smooth and chewy consistency that is mouth coating but a perfectly balanced acidity as to keep it from being cumbersome.

Overall, I love this beer. It’s very much what I’ve been searching for in the smoothie sours I’ve enjoyed so many of. It executes the smooth mouthfeel and sweet fruit flavors without ever becoming cloying or heavy on the palate. 4.25/5. Cheers.

I'm going to be heading down to my hometown tomorrow and won't be back until Monday night. My cousins are holding a memorial/wake for their mother. My aunt passed away nearly a year ago at the age of 90, and apparently she made provision for a big dinner and party. It was originally going to be held in August but my cousins got cold feet as Covid was spiking up again and they were worried about their Mom's twin sister getting exposed. So they rescheduled it for this weekend.

Therefore, I'm probably going to be a bit thin on this thread between tomorrow and early next week, so apologies in advance.

That sounds like an excellent rehabilitation strategy.

Let's get one more hint tonight, because I'm a bit tipsy.

Hint #7 - Apparently my target hasn't had many beers from my state, or surrounding states (as far as I can tell). This will change.

    Previous hints:

Hint #1 - My target lives at a lower elevation than I do.
Hint #2 - My target does not live in the 3 states I've not had beer from (New Mexico, Rhode Island, West Virginia).
Hint #3 - My target does not live in the same time zone as I do.
Hint #4 - I've only been to your state once, on a layover, back in 2005.
Hint #5 - Jerry Reed had a hit song in 1977. Said song really goes well with what we do here. The title of that song tells you which ways I'm shipping.
Hint #6 - I could reach your state by water.

Hey all, just so you know, here are the top five beers reviewed by the most BIF #16 members (unofficially including @Coronaeus):
    • Founders Brewing Company - KBS: 19
    • Founders Brewing Company - CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout): 18
    • Goose Island Beer Co. - Bourbon County Brand Stout: 18
    • North Coast Brewing Co. - Old Rasputin: 17
    • Russian River Brewing Company - Pliny The Elder: 17
Considering @Dimidiata apparently doesn't enter reviews on BA, KBS has quite an accomplishment -- the only beer reviewed by everyone else.

@Victory_Sabre1973 gave it the highest score, 4.91.
Surprisingly, @BBThunderbolt did not give it the lowest score, @Beersnake1 did: 3.89.
Average amongst the BIF members was 4.44.

    That is all.
