    My proxy for my season passes is my friend who lives in Logan Square. He's picked up for me for years now. Really my second season pass is his allotment. Think they'll let him in on the secret draft when he picks up today? @BeerCruncher

    They aren't checking for season passes, it's just not on the board. If he asks for it, he'll get it.

    The Rye Dunkel is pretty fantastic, by the way.

    I can get you a frame like that but prepare to shell out a grand or more for that kind of hand carving and a good finish.

    Popped a Cafe Deth last night and great as usual. Think I enjoyed it just as much if not more as this supermassive VSOD at the taproom.

    Also, my memory may be fading, but the sample pours seem a wee bit shorter…closer to halfway…

    So, Deth’s Gnar reminds me a lot of Dark Lord (minus the typical herbal Malort aftertaste). Maybe my palate is off after a couple tasters, but I’m surprised that’s the flavor profile I’m getting.

    OK so not just me!! I looked at it and said there is no way that's 5 ozs. One of my pours wasn't even half way. I also ordered a Imperial Anti hero fully expecting a 10oz pour but it came in the same cup as the variant samples filled half way up. I asked if this was correct and the bartender said yes all pours are 5ozs, so somehow I paid the same $8 for what didn't seem like 5 oz of Imperial Anti-Hero! Lots of new staff behind the bar I haven't seen before so maybe they got this mixed up. I def recall the pours being near the top of those sample cups for past however many years and paying $8 for less than 5 oz of Imperial Anti Hero is just wrong. Either way never had these issues before and Rev's staff has been simply the best and barrel 3552 was my favorite

    I will say I think they have a point. I've noticed the pours have gotten smaller. We'll see how things are tomorrow. Either way I'm excited.

    It should surprise no one that Deth's Tar is FANTASTIC this year.

    Last cycle, it was my favorite of all the releases; it won't be this year. Lumberstruck and Thundertaker are both superior, in my ignorant opinion, but this has more to do with how absolutely FANTASTIC that first release was (I prefer Deth's Tar to Coconut Deth, but not by much) rather than Deth's Tar taking a step back.

    I liked the first Currants release better than this one on first blush, and I flat out don't like Dark Matter so Cafe Deth is always near the bottom of my list, but yeah...Deth's Tar. Just a fantastic beer.
