Now that their taproom is officially opened, it's time they have their own thread. The past year has been pop up bottle release and taps but now it's a full go! If you are not familiar with them, Supermoon Beer Company is a small, family-owned brewery in the Bay View community of Milwaukee, WI. They make rustic, funk & barrel-fermented beers and European inspired classics.

Very much on my short list of places to get to; I can't wait to try some of their stuff

Hours, for now, appear to be:

    Friday 3-9
    Saturday 12-9
    Sunday 12-7

I've been buying bottles from their monthly releases and going to pop up hours for the past year and have been pleased with 99% of the beers. The owner is a super nice guy and I think this will be a really awesome space. He seems set to do things the right way and the beer is ready when the beer is ready. I predict you will have an enjoyable visit!

I went to Supermoon Beer Company's taproom yesterday. I liked the beer a lot, as did all of my friends. We were 3 dudes and 2 chicks. Definitely add it to lists of which Milwaukee breweries to visit!

I'm usually not a fan of the beer styles they focus on, but yesterday was still enjoyable for me beer-wise. I even gave their Many Phases (Blend 003) a 4.25 on Untappd, which for me is a remarkably high rating. Lately I've had trouble returning to some recently opened Milwaukee area breweries due to my disappointment in their beers (West Allis' Perspective Brewery and Ope! Brewery to be specific). Happily, this place does not fall into that category for me. I'll be returning.

But as noted above by MilwaukeeBeerMaker, the hours are currently pretty limited.

They just announced that they have expanded hours to include Thursday from 4 to 8pm. I was there on Saturday afternoon and the taproom and outside seating were almost full the whole time I was there which is nice to see. I'm sure demand will dictate how they expand their hours. When 1840 opened up in Milwaukee they had similar restrictive hours but now a couple years later they just went to 7 days a week.

Many Phases is probably my favourite brand of their beers; all three blends have been really good IMHO and hopefully that continues. If you like tripels, their Sensitive King is one of my favourite examples of that style of beer. I had four pours on Saturday and enjoyed them all.

If any of you BA folks are going to end up there drop me a message; it's not terribly far from where I live and always up to meet some new like minded beer folks.

Stopped at Supermoon over the weekend and left super impressed. High quality beers, both wild and clean fermentation alike. The tasting room is really comfortable and homey, not a bad place to spend a few hours. Left with a mixed case of various things, including their latest release, Marbelle.

anyone have 2 bottles they’d like to move? Happy to make it worth your while
