all the blends in this series have been good. b1 was very good. better than For Gabe at like 1/3 of the asking price as far as trades go. if you can track one down it’s definitely worth it.

that said, last time i had it (late summer) the bw components were starting to dominate but it was still excellent.

 

Agreed. I’d also be interested to know what Willet product was in the casks before being dumped.

 

I have always felt the same way, especially about barleywine but Continuance 2 blew me away. The cinnamon is way less prominent than in all of their stouts and adds just a little spice and the vanilla is just a general sweetness not a marshmallow bomb. Not sure how it's held up but it was great a few months ago.

 

Glad I saw the announcement email in time. This iteration of Continuance sounds fire! I had an opportunity to try b2 and thoroughly enjoyed. See you all over the Cellar anniversary! Just got to figure out which day to go. Will probably go Saturday for the candles… but Friday tho

with BBT 2022 debuting on Nov 8, does it still seem like bottle pickups with be end of November?

 

Most years have had that year’s BBT debut during the cellar anniversary.

 

The pickups are 11/25 - 12/30

 

Will be really interesting to see the effects of Mizunara on a stout. I think it’s great that it’s a second fill rather than a straight first fill virgin oak, since Mizunara can be really fickle & have overpowering changes (& not always good) to whisky, let alone beer.

 

It's for the birthday, so obviously expected to be great, but curious how much character that barrel will add with 18mo aged, given that it is a DB stout, and those held willet. Pretty interesting. One of those I certainly wish I could try.

I wish this blend of continuance would be know as BILBBT. Also, I just cracked a 7/21 Coffee shop vibes and it's great. Has there been a release since then, or has it been a year since CSV?

 

According to that awesome spreadsheet, that was the last release. December 2020 before that.

Pretty sure it was on at one location second week of pick ups last year. @TNCraftBeer drank a gallon and it was his fav beer of the weekend.

Looks like the sold-out packages of Continuance are still up on the website. Haven't seen them leave a package up for this long after sold-out for some time now.

Did notice yesterday that CK kept to his word that you would no-longer be able to check package quantities available.

 

Brewery tasting room online menu updated for Friday with Continuance b3 on-site. assuming the Cellar will also have bottles available for on-site consumption.
