    Hint #8
My state of residence is not one of the original 13 colonies. Neither is the state of residence of my target.

My target has reviewed or rated more beers than me.

    Hint #10
When my grandfather, growing up in my target's state of residence, would periodically decide to run away from what was basically an evil stepmother situation, he'd hop a train. He first did this at age 9. Where was the train going? Same place where you find Revolution Brewing.

Starting to plan out the boxes that I'm sending. My favorite part! Hoping to send the first near the end of next week. I love picking the mystery beers. This time I'm planning for around 4.

I'm still digging through the Hads of my target, as they are considerable. I'm probably going to have to go hyper local on a number of the beers to ensure they are all new beers to them.

Love this movie. God, this has so many tie-ins to past and present NBS BIFs. Also an obvious connection to me if you know much about me... maybe TOO obvious.

Quick and dirty analysis, looking at all Fremont and Revolution beers reviewed by BIF members (of course including @Coronaeus), filtered down to styles most typically barrel aged and with an abv greater than 10%.

There are 81 reviews of 22 different Fremont beers and 100 reviews of 30 different Revolution beers that meet these criteria. Amongst BIF members, Fremont beers average a 4.46, and Revolution beers average 4.36 (both slightly higher than the Beer Advocate averages).

There are five different styles from Fremont, and 10 from Revolution. Filtering further to look only at the styles in common.

    More hints!

    Hint #5:

Hint #6: I have not shipped beer to nor received beer from my target.

Also, @BBThunderbolt's statement holds up in the numbers, mostly:
Overall average score he's given to Revolution beers meeting the criteria above: 3.89 (8 beers)
Overall average score he's given to Fremont beers meeting the criteria above: 3.75 (9 beers)

Only two styles where he has reviewed both breweries, American Strong Ale (Fremont wins, 3.7 to 3.65) and English Barleywine (Revolution wins, 3.9 to 3.73)

So I decided to do a little data crunching via Untappd, and here's the first issue I see with your data:

Deth's Tar is an oatmeal stout. However, BA has Deth's Tar variants listed under American Imperial Stout and Russian Imperial Stout, which seems incorrect.

    My data:
    Rev Oatmeal stout - 6
Coconut Deth 2022 4.25 (BA has under RIS)
Maple Deth 2020 3.00 (BA has under RIS)
VSOD 2017 4.25 (BA has under imp stout)
    Deth's Tar 4.25
    Deth's Tar 2020 4.25
Deth by Raspberries 2021 - 1.25 (BA has is under imp stout)

I take no responsibility for the quality of the data I use, or the quality of the pseudo-analysis I perform.

Man, I get busy for a while and pages pile up! Must be time for another hint-
I'm shipping South, but not as much as a different compass point.

One last hint that is important. Remember, this is NOT a clue.

Hint #2: There are on 2 clues remaining! Once complete, my target should be able to figure out the word that has been hidden in the clues. This word will pertain only to my target and nobody else. I'll leave it at that.

    Keep the hints coming everyone!

Lol I know. I just find it amusing that so many beers are miscategorized in the database here given the uh, nitpicky nature of many of the folks here.

Napkin math for my data on the barleywines:

    Fremont English Barleywine 6 - 4.58

    Ye Olde Centaur 4.5
    Brew 2k 4.5
    Brew 3k 4.5
    Brew 5k 4.75 x2
    Brew 6k 4.5

    Rev English Barleywine 7 - 4.17, 4.5 non-adjunct

    Straight Jacket 2021 4.5
    Maple Jacket 2.75
    Strawberry Jacket 2021 4.25
    Honey Jacket 2020 4.5
    Straight Jacket 2020 4.5
    Ten Year Beer 4.5
    Lumberstruck (other?) - 4.25

If we disregard the adjuncted barleywines (as we should), my average rating is nearly identical for both breweries, which sounds about right.
