Soo good! Really wish it wasn't 10%, but I'll drink a can of it just for kicks. Would love to see an 8% in-between version of this beer sometime in the future! DDH Anti Hero would be a banger too.

 

I enjoy Imperial Anti Hero, but I’m going to buy Red Skull over it for the next couple of weeks. It’s the hoppy Midwest autumn beer I need

 

Look for West Coast-Hero around June-ish for a pretty close rendition of that want.

Double Barrel V.S.O.D.M. — Single Barrel - (contains lactose)
Unblended sweet component Dark Mode Imperial Milk Stout aged two years, spending a year each in Wild Turkey Russel’s Reserve and Basil Hayden Toasted Oak Bourbon barrels. Sweet, boozy, and with equal measures of rich, chocolatey, maplely maltiness, and oak-derived vanilla and coconut.

D.B.V.S.O.R. Lux Eighteener — Single Barrel
This extra-sweet component of Ryeway to Heaven spent eighteen months in a Jim Beam Distiller’s Masterpiece French oak PX Sherry cask before finishing in a Knob Creek 18 Year Bourbon barrel for a final six months. The confluence of copious malt sugar and extended aging delivers the now-familiar maple punch we so love in our Ryewine, with a bold, balancing punch of booze and lumber.

D.B.V.S.O.R. PX Apple Brandy — Single Barrel
This extra-sweet component of Ryeway to Heaven spent eighteen months in a Jim Beam Distiller’s Masterpiece French oak PX Sherry cask before finishing in a Laird’s Apple Brandy barrel for a final six months. Unabashedly malty-sweet with pronounced notes of maple, vanilla, baking spice, and apple, you’d think we put a whole bunch of grandma’s pie in the mash. We didn’t.

2019 Boss Jacket (14% ABV) — ½ barrel
Aged in French oak WhistlePig The Boss Hog V, The Spirit of Mauve ex-Calvados Rye Whiskey barrels, this special edition of our award-winning BA English Barleywine was brewed to retain a little extra sweetness, allowing the additional malt sugars to compile layers of stupefying complexity over time.

 

Real question is does this years SJ mirror last years with some VSOJ component barrels making up a decent amount of the final blend?

The new Ryeway to heaven artwork is really quite beautiful. And, as a result, the glass is very nice.

But, god almighty, I hate that glass design. I have 2 different glasses with that shape and I hate using them, because I find they really don’t do much for me compared to other styles. Wish that was on a mini or full sized snifter.

 

This gives me hope for Deth by Pumpkins.

 

Dethy Hollow?

 

Dethly Hallows is certainly THE name of a pumpkin-inspired Deth beer that should be a collab with JK Rowling as a Charity beer w/ signed charity items for the annual fundraiser.

Pretty sure corporate American doesn't want to deal with the JK Rowling "controversy."

 

I thought of that, but I bet it wouldn't get hit very hard with it being for charity. If so, we really have some truly, miserable people in this world.
