    Howdy all, hoppy Tuesday!

    I am drinking Petrus tripel which would be a first for me. Odd thing is Belgian Tripels are a favorite style of mine and never tried it until today.

    330ml bottle in a traditional and elegant label. 8%ABV which is a tad bellow others Tripels I drink regularly.

    This is unsurprisingly great, flavorful and a nice punch to kick ones day. Some have stouts for breakfast and rightly, some others drink Tripels.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for unlocking the doors this morning…I, too, enjoy Belgian (and French!) tripels, but alas I have none on hand…so as usual a stout for my morning “coffee” - KBS:

    Bottled 2/28/22. Poured at 54°. Delicious as always…I have lots of little chores given my absence from home most of the past week…can’t say how productive I’ll be this lovely 68° sunny morning. For now, I’ll enjoy my beverage of choice and let the day come to me. Cheers and have a terrific Tuesday y’all!

    My yard guy is mowing so I took the dogs for a mini walk. Back home finishing off Fremont’s 10th Anniversary Stout (2019):

    Poured at 52°. Oak, tart cherry and chocolate in that order. Bourbon is ever present in the nose/on tongue. Dry wooden tongue coating. I like, but would enjoy a lot more if it was not so oaky.

    I’m getting a bunch of little chores taken care of that have been piling up, and I’ve got a ton of new beer, so I’m resigned to staying home and sallying forth today. I rescheduled last week’s shoulder PT for tomorrow, so I’ll go out and about then. Cheers y’all!

    Look: 4.5 Smell: 4.25 Taste: 4.25 Feel: 4.25 Overall: 4.25

    Pours a beautifully clear, dark brown body; thick, frothy, light khaki colored head; thick, sticky sheets and rings of foam inside the glass. Fantastic dark malt and light cocoa aroma. The taste follows along the lines of the aroma; mild to moderate sweet chocolate sensation; moderate roasted grain note; mild to moderate hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; rich and silky on the palate.

    This is an outstandingly smooth dark lager. The balance of the flavors and aroma on spot on for the style.

    Side note: The phrase "Libera nos a malo" - "Deliver us from evil" was printed on the label.

    Dave, as with the other beer your pouring skills are excellent! Another nice, standing head!!

    The beer label is a creation of my wife. The story behind her branding the beer Dark Angel is that during our two week stay in the Czech Republic in 2019 we stayed the the Anděl section/neighborhood of Prague. Anděl is Czech for Angel. And needless to say the "Dark" part is associated with the color of the beer.

    My wife is also adept at Latin ergo the "Libera nos a malo" aspect of the label. The only Latin I know is from watching the Monty Python movie The Life of Brian. :stuck_out_tongue:

    ...can't get a good beer head without a quality beer...you did well with this...I look forward to enjoying the 2nd bottle down the line...perhaps I'll crack that one open along with the saison on my birthday in January...
