    Friday beers deserve a poem...

Grab a beer, recline your head and hear my far-fetched tale
Of Friday nights across the globe accompanied by ale
The nectar sweet, the froth so white, the heady, fluffy pour
The contemplated, complicated drink-in-glass de jour
Not wine nor grape nor soda pop nor any other drink
No need for chasers, double pours or ice-cubed, wristy clink
The perfect setting for this epic fabled rambling show
My scene is set and now I start - get ready, here we go!
I tip my head, the tale begins, but I'm here in my mind...
This beer has captured all my thoughts I've left you all behind.
So 'bout this tale I promised you, now where was I again?
My mind is blank 'cause all I see is Saison de la Senne.

    Cheers!

    Good evening Az, happy Friday!

I haven’t had anything from Founders in… I don’t know, more than a year and probably closer to two.

I was pointing it out in a recent WBAYDN and wanted to revisit, not to mention half of the first page of this thread these days is about any Founders Stout so.

KBS, the regular one is still great as ever. Very thick bodied, full of flavors and fine aromas. For those who didn’t know, I indeed own one of their tiny glass:

    Cheers!

Jimmy Sommerville doesn’t only has a very nice voice to sing what he’s good at, he’s according to many a sound guy too.

...this will be another day on the road...driving from Lincoln, NE to Cedar Rapids, IA...Millstream Brewing will be a stop at the Amana Colonies in Iowa...

...I also noted this picture in my Graduate hotel room in Lincoln...looks like NE kids get served pitchers of beer by their moms...:sunglasses:

Drinking Liquid Hopiness IPA, new one for me.

Many people on the forum are drinking Celebration these days and I finally found this one.

Maybe not the right time of year to drink it despite a warm weather. This is great and quaffable, and brewed in late august which is for anything SN here relatively “fresh”:

Finally got around to a blind tasting of four Oktoberfest style beers.

A fellow retired friend (we're both way over the hill) sampled these and came away with our favorites.

Shiner and Ayinger were tied for top score. Sam Adams was 3rd and, surprisingly, Warsteiner was last. But all were tasty and decent.

Yeah, I agree with you. Wife surprised me with this one awhile back. Told her that if she saw anymore, to grab them.

Well, the local small town courthouse had a call-in today so the GF couldn’t get paperwork filed because there’s no cross-trained backup. That seems a mistake, sort of like this beer:

Perhaps it’s a case of not messing with a good thing, for me. Though it does evoke a syrup-drenched version of the breakfast, I must admit.

Thanks for the opening poem, @AzfromOz. This road, while in a forest, did not diverge. This forest is a bit more orange than yellow, maybe that’s why. But knowing where I am, it is easily one infrequently traveled, my earlier steps down them not enough to trod them black. I’m not sure it makes much of a difference.

Hi there Advocates! Thank you @AzfromOz for opening 3660 with a rhyming beer tale. No other language could be so lyric-friendly. Have you ever seen a Brit TV series called "Upstart Crow"? If not you'd probly dig it. Picking up where I left off ystrdy...got too late last nite and the VB was quiet...at rehearsal I had TG Dino Park. Really good, plush, ez drinkin' and much like an orange whip, some alcohol as it warms. Glad my band mate donated a 4pk which cost $18.99. One and done for that. Sheeesh. Let's have some beers! Cheers!
