3 Floyds Brewing (2022)

Nothing on untappd yet that I could see. What’s the format? (Asking to know what to look for.)

 

Non distro- Taproom only, howler from their pilot system.

Yea, can’t really figure out what I make of it. Fridge temp it is no bueno and bitter coffee. When warm it has some redeeming qualities. No need for FOMO on this as it doesn’t compare to their successful streak of plus 12%abv barrel aged beers (Crushing, Cocomungo, Dismembers). Strikes me as one of those beers you would have tried once at the FFF brewpub, enjoyed, and never thought about again.

 

They just make beers and don't give af if anyone ever drinks them

They usually will promote kegs on Instagram but some things just never get mentioned. I almost feel like they flex these beers and just let the staff enjoy them and whoever happens to stumble upon them is in for a treat. It's their modern day surprise kiosk release

They're probably making money hand over fist more than ever before and have time and resources to kill

 

found 4pks of Permanent Funeral today at local Binny’s. in the fridge section too! can’t wait to crack one tonight.

Finding the beer you want is in a Binny's cooler. Now that's like winning a billion dollar lottery.

I remember when everyone was crazy for this beer… the hype died but it still hits hard!

I used to live in Fort Wayne, and 5-6 years ago it was really hard to get zombie dust. But what was even HARDER to get? Permanent Funeral. My beer guy at my shoppe told me one time “for all of our stores, we got ONE case total… so it was sent to X store”. I ran out there as fast as I could and they had one bomber left. I miss those days.

 

In case any Chicago folks missed it - Handjee 4 year vertical (18-21) got tapped last night at Hopleaf, with a ton of other FFF on tap. It wasn’t crowded at all, I’d guess everything’s still on draft today. 2018 Handjee took the cake for me once it warmed up, bourbon and chocolate for days.

 

Damn, awesome opportunity.

can confirm the handjee vertical is still on tap. Adult size beverage is also on, and regular darklord (but nobody wants that …)

 

...all the Handjees STILL on at Hopleaf.
