Happy Hump day. Hard to believe it's been that long. Finished the Matarese Circle which was about a 3.5/5, pace was slow but the jumps in action were high and the climax massive after a long build backstory, as is in typical Ludlum Fashion. And also the twist where the senator running for president is the king pin because conspiracy was unexpected, but that in the authors usual taste Started It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis next. Don't think I've read a political satire before, but it is regarded as a classic.

Been a busy work week but I (finally) have to make a presentation for a new BEV truck tomorrow, but have to throw a presentation together tomorrow morning. Not really an issue since I have all the data ready and memorized, I've only been grinding my head through it for 2 weeks trying to walk current production to the new architecture. (even at home on the back porch over a smoke) It's been 2 years since I locked my apartment in MI, life is great now. PS I will be in Fishers Indiana next weekend 18-21st. Just driving up but lunch Monday may be open, or we'll just go to Portillos.


We had a wild mike's 4 cheese and Julia put the hormel pepperoni on and it is picturesque.

Aromas are of big juicy/jammy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, and lactic acid/funk/sourness. Taste follows with sour/jammy raspberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, wood, pepper, wheat, cracker, and lacto funk/yeast earthiness. Moderate tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. High carbonation, light body, and crisp/clean/refreshing finish. Balanced grainy malt, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannin in the mouthfeel. Minimal pucker or lingering acid on the clean finish. Spot on Berliner with plenty of authentic fruit flavor, without overpowering the base style aspects. 4.25

While i would LOVE to support a brewery ran by my black brothas and sistaz in the hood i grew up in...this shit is not good. they have a lot to work on . They have a brick snd mortar spot opening soon on 'Chester ave that I hope to visit once open. I hope to Satan they make more brown and black colored beer and take traffic away from brewery that embodies gentrification Three Weavers.

Drinking more of Anchor's Special Ale - actually onto a second bottle now; there are reports that Ukrainian XDar ("dar" = "gift") wheat vodka was sighted in the area as well (smooth, light fluffy marshmallow and vanilla)...

I know for some it's horrible that I'm drinking this (heartily lol) now, but I can't help it - it is exactly what I needed - whatta great beer...

Second try with this one, and it’s still a pretty “Ho-hum” beer (especially coming from Russian River). I can grab a 4 pack of Old Rasputin for $9.99 that wipes the floor with this thing. It’s ok. But $6.99? No sir!
