NBS BIF #16 Hints and Hauls: Sweet Sixteen - Teenage Lust Tastes Like Creamed Corn and Rolling Rock

A kraken isn't even a thing! When the New Orleans NBA team moved to Utah, it was silly to not change the name, but, the name made sense in N.O. But Utah Jazz is doofy as hell. Ducks (they dropped the "Mighty" after Disney sold the team) is fine, as long as it's not the University of Nike Ducks. I'm not a fan of weather as team names (Heat? That's seriously bad.) and Orlando Magic is also near the bottom as well.

But Kraken is genuinely the worst in all 4 of the major North American sports. I'm not even gonna get into soccer, because of them are just FC, or United, or Sporting, or......

 

I too have had my porch assaulted by the one and only @Victory_Sabre1973 - Pics when I can take a break from work and open the box. Anticipation is killing me!

 

man, I miss Bifs I know I have MIA on NBS and BA in general. and on a 30 day dry kick but will be ready to go for the next bif round... have fun all , I do miss the chaos

Not only all new beers to me, they’re from breweries new to me as well, with the exception of Georgetown. This assortment looks AWESOME, Fred. I’m going to start on this box tomorrow with the Belgian and one of the hops selection.

You are a beer nerd extraordinaire. Thanks SO MUCH for this wonderful box of beers.

Second beer from this brewery for me

Brewers Notes: Lots of haze from heavy hopping as well as a heavy hand of protein-rich adjuncts i.e. oats and malted wheat. Rich, smooth mouthfeel due to the water chemistry. Loads of hop flavor and aroma. Big Tropical Fruit and Stone Fruit flavors and aromas.

Chilled 12 oz can poured into a Nordic IPA glass, hazy mango colored liquid, thin white big bubbled pencil thick foam cap , quickly settles to a solid white layer

Aroma is juicy, topical fruits, pineapple , mango

Taste is tropical fruits, pineapple, hint of pine on the finish

Low sudsing, juicy , small hop bite, some alcohol at 7.2

The second of two killer boxes sent to me by @BBThunderbolt! A huge hit of new to me beers and mostly new to me breweries along with two mystery beers. I will get the list of contents in short order. Thank you so much man! Can’t wait to break into these!

Semi murky golden pour with a 3 finger fluffy looking white head. There's decent retention, and there's some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is dominated by the hops. I get some pine in it. I also get a faint sweet aroma.
Starts off tropical flavor, but then the pine kicks in more on the back. The pine flavor, from the hops does linger in my palate.
The body is quite full, and somewhat juicy. There's a slight bitterness that lingers in my throat.
This is delicious and I'm am honored that I got to try it.
