    I'll be at the Saturday session. Bummed they got rid of the Saturday evening session, but what can ya do.

    FOBAB newbie here. I'll be at the Friday evening session.

    I know the brewer list is up but when do they usually post the beer list?

    That's how it used to be for the purposes of the competition, but feel like they started releasing the beer list in the app prior to event starting ~2019? Or maybe I'm just thinking of the list of breweries being announced much earlier now... I think it's both tho. Nonetheless, a lot of the breweries announce their Fobab beers on soical media, so keep an eye out.

    I know it used to be a big deal with a bunch of anticipation when the event started for people like Josh Noel to post pics of the beer list from the program (later on the big list from the wall, after the program was turned into a damn book).

    Saturday usually sells out first. Last year had vaccine required and some folks weren’t yet comfortable with large indoor gatherings so that cut into the total.

    Manny's has great food. I'm on Pompei for Friday, an old favorite from my UIC (and beyond) days. It is less than a mile the arena on the south side of Taylor Street east of Ashland.

    Their pizza, strudel and pasta are excellent. Fill up for a solid base before heading in. They are open pre Friday session and pre/post Saturday (til 8PM).

    Loved the convenience of Manny's and Jim's Original prior to the move from the UIC Forum on Roosevelt and Halsted.

    By & By (Blend #1) is the wild ale (it was at the Beer Temple "Fobab Preview" event last night). Surprised Perennial would only bring one beer. Kind of lame if that is the case...

    @ChicagoJ First off, well done on the brewery list broken down by city, great stuff man.
    Awesome rec. I, too, was thinking a big pasta pregame meal was in order. Was actually deciding between Pompei & Tufano's... Had decided on Tufano's bc it was originally supposed to be a nice day & they have a great patio, plus it's closer to the venue... but turns out I won't be able to do anything prior to the event at this point.

    If anyone does decide to hit up Tufano's, heads up that it's cash-only (like any legit old-school Italian joint would be lol).

    If Goose is, in fact, pouring outside again, I wonder how that's all going to go down with this weather today...

    Lastly, it appears there isn't a Fobab app available this year. The last time I went (2019), that app was super convenient.

    Whatever the weather is going to be this year, can't be worse than last year's low 40's and rain...

    Damn, an app with a map would be cool...
