Friday night here in Oz. Spent all day at work dreaming of the beer I was going to drink this evening. I was much chagrined when I grabbed it out of the fridge and realised it was only a 250ml (8.4oz) bottle... Ah well, less beer to work off tomorrow.

    Cheers!

Hobgoblin IPA on this side of the world. Good one, I need to be reminded to buy more British brews especially from this fairly available and affordable brewery.

    Cheers!

Tri Yann was a band, now retired from Britanny (Bretagne), Western France.

I saw them live once or twice in Lorient where in every august they hold a festival of Celtic music, welsh, scots, Irish, Galicians, and Bretons:

Morning BAs! Perhaps not your typical breakfast, but today isn't typical, so ...

Second beer today is an interesting one. An Espresso Stout from the well known and respected Japanese brewery “Hitachino”.

330ml bottle and 7%abv. Nice take on the style which I just love anyway. This is very good, the coffee beans and the vanilla hints are mixing very well.

Its also thick bodied, smooth and drinkable.

A winner which isn’t again a surprise from them. Top notch!

    Kampaï!

Good day BAs! Thanks to @AzfromOz for starting the weekend off with a triple tripel - that's a hexuple(?), a new beer style! and to @Shanex for supporting Hobgoblin - an IPA seems fairly unusual for them.

Today's Breakfast Beer is an old favorite that doesn't turn up in western PA but seems to be readily available in TX:

Delicious - chocolatey and a touch of char bitterness.

How much does this cost in France? Over here in PA, Hitachino beers (regardless of style) are often priced at the level of whale-y hazies.

Roughly 3€uros (Dollars and Euros are about equal…) and found in a major supermarket here (Leclerc). I should have bought several of those for this price!

That's decent. I don't think I have seen a Hitachino that is under $7 in my neck of the woods.

    G'day all!

I am liking this juicy IPA but it doesn't hit the spot like its cousin, Celebration.

I will be chopping up some Habaneros to spice up my curry later on.

    Prost!
