A very cool sky this morning as the clocks fall back. We have an extra hour to roll out some serious pages. Great brew and cheers all.

I like the time roll back. The dogs and I typically rise with the sun and I’m a morning person. Usual chores done, so I’m sipping/working on notes for a new beer just released yesterday - Cycle Brewing’s “BA SZN - Chocolate Orange”, a 3 years BBA Imperial Stout:



Smells like Cointreau. Tastes like chocolate orange candy at Christmas. Orange stouts are few and far between, and this beer is a dandy. Tasting notes in a few over on the NBW thread if you want to know more…Cheers and have a great day y’all!

 

Everyone needs to try this gem. Wowza good and it made my breakfast better.

Chilly morning but it is supposed to get to the upper 40s F.

I'm drinking the "muted" version of Old Speckled Hen. Damn nitro bs.

I thought that was the BB date and mistakenly went back 5 instead of 3 years. I believe TR goes back 5 years. Is that your understanding? Cheers!

Drinking Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout. Not crazy about the throwback label

 

Drinking my last Hammerheart Gorm the Old, still tastes good after 7 months or so in the fridge. The mesquite smoke is still sharp.

 

I will drink everyone of these from last week. It feels free and 15 years ago this was my staple.

Posting from last night. We did a team building thing for the shop and went on a ghost tour. The tour was dope, but the highlight was TRVE and music city hot chicken...

Started the night with a guest tap, resident culture forever alone Nelson. @TheIPAHunter I highly recommend if you haven't had it. I haven't had Nelson pop like this in years. Followed that up with COLD from TRVE. Pretty sure COLD has some Brett cross contamination that makes it so fucking rustic. A personal favorite. Ghost tour was cool, I nabbed a picture of half a face in a window, and was forever plagued with camera issues. Weird.

What's best in life? Nelson beers done well.

Seeing these guys live on Thursday coming and I couldn't be more excited. Probably my one and only chance to ever see them. And in a bar no less. UP THE TOMBSTONES
