Yes, I've got Grevensteiner in my Beer fridge, along with Wiehenstephan 1516, Arcobrau Zwickl, and St Georgenbrau Kellerbier. That's about all that i can get between Milwaukee and Chicago. My son is homebrewing, he hasn't done any lagers yet. I've had some Craft Kellerbiers, some good, some bad. I think that Monchshof and Mahrs are some of the best.

Stop taking pictures of your beer in a clear glass and direct sunlight. You're skunking the beer.

How will I notice the hues then?

Dessert stouts and hazy IPAs are delicious when brewed by good breweries with expertise with these beers and I love seeing taplists full of them.

I love bringing my well behaved toddler to a brewery on a nice fall day to enjoy a hazy IPA and chill out and watch the football game (with the sound on of course!) while my toddler enjoys a snack from whatever food truck the brewery has.

Yes - beers from Trillium in the pre-canning days were a magical experience.

BTW, I've been down on Trillium as well for the last 2-3 years...but I went to Trillium Fenway a couple days ago and came away impressed with what I had. So maybe they're back?

Concurrent with the proliferation of non-beer items in the beer aisle, at least around here, is the demise of the singles section. Where we used to have two or three dedicated coolers for singles and mixed sixers, we now have a shelf or two if we're lucky. The other day I ran across four or five seasonal releases that I'd love to try, but I'd have to buy multi-packs at upwards of $15 each to get them. Screw that. Here's a shout-out to those packies that allow you to break up a multi-pack to purchase a single. Unfortunately, the closest one that I know of is over 100 miles away, in another state. I guess it's time for a beer trip. At least they'll have fresh Zombie Dust. (I hope.)

Most of the larger packies near me will sell singles from 4/6 packs. The controversy is how much they jack up the price.

I can emphasize with the stores, today's broken-up pack might become tomorrow's shelf turds.

    Cheers.

I was likewise rather impressed by my recent trip out to Canton. I only got 2 different beers to go but both were quite good

OK, just kicking in, here we go.

    - No matter what beer style, Best Before Date (or: At least storable until) is the minimum date before a beer should be drunk. Even more so, beer can be stored and tasted for decades (oldest beer I tasted was 50 yrs and superbly enjoyable).

    - There is no ‘soft spot’ date to taste beer

    - Hops can disguise all aroma and flavour flops in beers and can pimp up all beer concoctions

    - Many Belgian beers are real flops

    - Many beers cannot be classified under any particular style

    - Barley wines can be sour, bitter and sweet

    - Quad as a beer style does not exist

    - Asymptotically, absolute objectivity should be the objective of beer tasting

    - The best beer does not exist

    - Beer mysticism is crucial in this contemporary crazy beer geek world.

    - Brewers are stubborn women and often change a fine beer recipe

    - …

Have you submitted a request to BA to nix this from their beer styles list?

    Cheers!

You're saying that no beer should be drunk fresh?

Luckily I still can find bombers from some locals including Epic

I pick them up on a weekly basis and usually get 2 for $5.50

Arguably UT's best brewery, Templin Family or T.F. makes one called Granary that slaps

Also damn women brewers changing recipes (and their mind…) like clothes.

This post was epic especially if the guy is actually Belgian.
