2020 BBT was never 600. Rye BBT 2020 was but not regular BBT. The only regular BBT to ever move for 600 was BBT 2018.

BBT19 was 450-500 for a short wile before settling in around 350. BBT 20 was always sub 400. BBT21 was 300 or less.

A few razz's closed at 500-600 range before the beers even came out. Once they were actually in peoples hands then yes, the values you give are spot on

Razzles are dumb, I think we all agree, but for some reason people use them for valuations.

I'm excited to try this years BBT. I really enjoyed 2021. I like the simplicity of this years blend, being only two recipes. Interested to see the flavors of this one.

I had one last question about visiting and I’ll go hide in a corner:

will the brewery tasting room have things going on during the anniversary, or should I just go to the cellar?

They will usually have something going on at the other location to drive traffic to both. For the brewery anniversary at the end of September, they had the terminus bottles on-site only at the cellar even though the brewery was where all of the timed tappings were.

Let’s all hope for some DBBBT in our future to grab the wheel of the hype train.

When I had bbt 2022 a few months ago it was a still bottle but it was great, reminded me more of 18/19 than 2021.

Rye BBT 2022 reminded me so much of BBT18. where you feel like you’re drinking a 7-8% beer because it is just that smooth and drinkable.

i haven’t checked in on BBT21 for a while (maybe January or February), and while i liked it fresh it did have some dark fruits to it that i don’t normally associate with BBT (or SP).

BBT20 is kind of an oddball where it’s like it’s good although not as good as 18 or 19 but you cut it some slack because how are you supposed to keep up that level of perfection 3 years running. if anything it was maybe just missing some complexities that 18 and 19 (especially 19) had.

18 and 19 were very different from each other so I don’t know what to make of this. 19 fresh is still the best to me.

    18 was milk chocolate
    19 was vanilla
20 was milk chocolate and dark chocolate blended
21 was light chocolate with more oak

20 and even 21 found that middle ground between 18 and 19 i think. still a lot of barrel but not as much as 19.

but i would agree with Paul, 19 was probably the best. especially for its longevity. best i’ve seen in a BBT.

I’m guessing as the batches get bigger and bigger, the blending becomes less influential and the nuances between blends are not as noticeable. I think going forward BBT will be consistently great, but the flavor profile will be pretty dialed in and predictable.
