I thought I'd start a thread for closeout sales that liquor store and bottle shops are having. My first contribution is the Garfield's on Harlem Ave, in Norridge, IL. They've got Sam Adams Oktoberfest for $9.99 for a 12-pak. As of yesterday afternoon there were 10-12 boxes. They also have 4-paks of Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen for $7.99. I saw 2 or 3 in the cooler and 1 on the shelf.

I've seen an awful lot of Sam and Ayinger Oktoberfest beers stacked up. A few others I don't recall offhand, too.

    But no sales so far.

I’m a tad burnt out on them right now. I tried several new to me this season & just finished a 5 gal keg of Summit Ock.

Do they age well? (I’m not giving up quite yet!)

How'd you like the Summit on draft?

In my experience, they start falling off around 6 months. But I wonder if a well kept keg might last longer.

I enjoyed it very much. Not boozy at all. Overall, it was a well balanced Ock, plus it was a very reasonably priced keg. I will definitely grab another one next year!
