    I'm still here boys.
Tasting notes before edit time runs out.
    Edit:
    Notes: It's good.
Way too tired for the whole rating thing, but would bang again...maybe. it's almost borderline too sweet.

Enjoying my first brew from Interval Brewing in Coats, NC. The beer has lots of additions (coconut, vanilla beans, coffee, cocoa). Going into this thought it would be way too sweet, but the recipe was quite right for my palate as it came out surprisingly balanced given the heavy roasted malt base and would imagine a lot of hopping. Rated it a 4.42.
    Cheers!
    Tom

Bourbon barrel-aged Dark Apparition from Jackie O's. I have always been a big fan of their stouts, including this one. The quality is consistent. Great beer.

People like to say aging this does magical shit to it but all it does is get old.

Probably not my favorite BA stout, this is very very boozy this year, flavor and aroma, I prefer Black Chocolate Stout. Enjoy what's in yer glass!

Boulevard Maple Mood BA Imperial Stout, 12.5% ABV. Pours black with a 1.5 finger light brown head that left no lacing. Nose is MAPLE, bourbon, brown sugar, and chocolate. Taste follows, quite sweet, slightly bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. One of their better offerings.

Plays well against Founders CBS, may have to do a side-by-side comparo.

This beer does not age well, unlike most of the stuff coming out of the FW barrel program

Brewers Notes: A torrent of roasted goodness intrigues the brave of heart, and flavors of chocolate smothered berries entices the same. But what heat when attempting to conquer such livid libations! Take refuge in the gentle woody hop notes.

Black motor oil with a creamy brown foam head that settles to a ring and some bubbles, lined lacings on the sip

Aroma is faint bourbon barrel , malts

Taste is roast malts, bourbon , slight char, hint of chocolate

    Fizzy mouthfeel

    Good beer

I used to enjoy the bombers so I’m glad they brought back the beer in 12 oz cans. Good stuff.

Dessert Oasis from Cellarmaker. Description from the brewery:

This blend of single and double oak stouts has been infused with the highest quality of adjuncts we can source. Vietnamese cinnamon sticks, whole vanilla beans from Madagascar and Papa New Guinea as well as premium quality Ethiopian Gore Dank beans from Onyx Coffee Lab come together in a creamy, spice driven dance of rich decadence. Albeit an intensely bold beverage, the long term aging in various bourbon barrels gives Dessert Oasis a balance not always found in the pastry world.

    My notes:

Poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with a very thin layer of head. The nose is insanely good. Cinnamon is dominant (which I like), and it's followed by chocolate, toffee, vanilla, maple, and some dark fruit. It is brewed with coffee, but I'm not really getting any coffee on the nose.

The taste is awesome. The coffee comes in here. Great marriage of coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and bourbon. Chocolate, molasses, plums, raisins, and toffee make a strong appearance as well. Wow. Intense.

Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Viscous. Aftertaste is bourbon and toffee, with a hint of coffee. Overall, a great stout. Definitely not too sweet.
