If I’m big beer I’m eagerly awaiting the Carey’s retirement to acquire New Glarus.

 Haha, stop! No, I am not a socialist. I am the one percent that wants Owner/Management/CEO/etc. to force their employees to work weekends for straight time, so I can occasionally stop on a Saturday while crossing Wisconsin!

Tbf, I've seen a *lot* of rural areas (in WI) hit pretty hard in terms of finding workers, and NG is sort of in the middle of nowhere, so I'm not surprised they can't really find bodies.

The town of NG after like 9pm is basically dead, except for a few bars that harbor regulars. It's at once pretty fun to see, and very frustrating for a tourist and nighthawk like myself!

I guess the people who would've picked up hours at NG are working more 9-5 weekday jobs in Monroe or something...

How small do you think New Glarus is? NG pasteurizes, at the very minimum, all of their fruit beers that’s aren’t part of the R&D program. That’s why they taste like back sweetened lindemans beer. Ng adds fruit and then flash pasteurizes the prevent refermentation. Dan learned Belgian lambic and fruit beer at lindemans in the 80s and used a similar strategy
