    Single bottles for 40 dollars?! Yikes. AFAIK Mine was kept at 55° since 2017 . 0 oxidation .
    @Beersnake1 I haven't had a BCBS in 2 years( i had one at a friends viewing, but don't count that cuz i was 3 BA Bombers of other beers in) and this one was ...Great.I can see why they are hyped. Barrel presence coming through extremely well, notes of semi sweet chocolate, caramel and vanilla . Light notes of milk powder( not in a bad way) that reminded me of hot chocolate.
    Fucker was a smooth drink for the ABV.
    Wouldn't pay $40 dollars for one ever so don't feel bad @VodkaPong87 it's not worth that.

    Prompted by @Resistance88 and his recent bottle, I decided to open my last 2012 Bourbon County. In fact, this is also my last small bottle. This was purchased by me and stored in cellar conditions since new. Bottled just over 10 years ago.

    The nose is quite different from when fresh. Very strong bourbon, a touch of soy sauce, and some chocolate. Fairly one-dimensional, and definitely dominated by bourbon. The taste is MUCH better than the nose. Big roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, a bit of coffee, dark fruit, and some brown sugar. Very nice, but totally different from fresh. Interesting experience.

    sazerac rye whiskey barrel-aged black magick from voodoo. really enjoyed this one. the rye barrels were a great fit for the black magick base stout. cheers!

    i would guess you’ll like them. not at all sweet, more earthy and never any shortage of barrel. thick and sturdy. good stuff.
