    I opened up over at my parents' place it's so nice out. Not at all what I expected flying in given how dreary the last few Thanksgivings have been up here. Going to be leisurely walk in Ault Park weather tomorrow.

    “Home” now out on the back porch overlooking the woods, and beyond, the 13th tee box…63°, tons of blooming flowers and yet fall leaves colors in the trees…fabulous…drinking Galaxy Banger, a Hazy IPA from the brewery visit yesterday, Savage Craft Ale Works, Columbia SC:

    DH with Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic. Great tasting melon, papaya, peach and tangerine. I love Galaxy hops! And get a load of the sick artwork on the glass I bought at the brewery. Cheers gang from Taylors, SC!

    Tons of running around on such a gorgeous day. Pulled out one of the beers brewers said "They would drink forever" in @Amendm 's thread. Several great beers on that list. Also my last Oktoberfest on hand, it was a fun season once again.

    That's why they call it Cold Mountain LOL! Glad you are enjoying it. A friend in my tasting group last year snagged some CM variants (Imperial, Spiced, Coconut). The Coconut was not much different from regular CM; but the Imperial and Spiced were nicely done. Contemplated going to the brewery recently to try the BA version but did not make it up there.

    Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Kinda bummed my wife’s family members all, well not all, but several got the flu and had to cancel Thanksgiving out in PA.     look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

    Clear, dark brown body; excellent carbonation; thick, frothy and semi-creamy, light khaki colored head, lasting. Fine scent of medium roasted grain; slight vanilla undercurrent. Light cocoa flavor with a touch of vanilla; lightly sweet; hickory nut; very mild bitterness. Medium-light body; smooth and silky; lightly sweet mouthfeel highlighted with some dark grain warmth.

    All around, a nice beer. To me, this seems more like a brown ale or, perhaps, a dark English mild. The impact of the taste and mouthfeel seem a bit weak for a porter but fit nicely in the other two beer categories. Regardless, this is a pleasant drinker and quite satisfying overall.
