Please allow me to introduce myself ...

...I'm a man of wealth and taste ... Oh wait, sorry. I was listening to some tunes on my headphones when I typed that. Actually those two adjectives don't describe me at all. In reality I'm dirt poor with questionable taste.

What does describe me? Well, I'm a bit of an outlier here. At 61 years of age I'm probably older than 98% of the good people here. What else makes me different? Well, IPAs aren't one of my favorite styles. I tend to enjoy lagers and simple Pale Ales more, and Belgian styles the most.

Born in southern California, lived there for the first 39 years of my life, moved to Las Vegas, and now back in California for the last 6 years or so. The area I currently live is a bit of a beer wasteland, with no good breweries or beer stores to speak of. Pretty much the only craft beer to be found around here is going to be an IPA. So I have to either do a bit of driving to get to a store with a good selection or order direct ship to home from one of the great breweries here in California.

I've been lucky enough to take quite a number of trips to Germany and Belgium and enjoy some of the best beers on earth right from the source. I highly suggest you do the same if you ever have the chance.

Currently I've got an order in from Mcilhenney Brewing which I'm very much looking forward to, as I've never had one of their beers and have heard great things about them.
