Kicking things off with a 2010 Bigfoot

 

Of course the holiday/day off of work I wake up completely before my alarm would normally go off. Oh well, got some prep for the cooking that will start later done, and dug some beers from the cellar to offer family, so time to relax a second or four:


Not a cellar pull, this year’s version of Bourbon Barrel GBS, as good as it has been in recent years. Grabbed some for the BiL, but he’s already bought some. Never an issue of overstock on this one, though.

I've only had two days off work this month not counting today. I told my boss yesterday that my BAC would be around. 08 for the next four days, so don't bother calling...

Good morning, good afternoon, and Happy Thanksgiving y’all! Lilly has been walked along part of the golf course this balmy 50° morning…time to ease into the day with Deth’s Tar (2022) by Revolution:



Canned 9/29/22. One of the best BBA Stouts out there. Boozy bourbon in the nose. Bourbon, toffee, chocolate, coffee-ish roast, oaky vanilla taste. Full mouth warmth from 14.8% abv. My kinda breakfast “coffee” !

Mrs. Z flew in last night at 10pm. Late bedtime (at least for me). I envision a quiet day of her staying in bed until noon, and me watching the parades and preparing holiday dinner for the two of us. I need to read up on the contraption, but I plan on using an air-fryer to cook the turkey breast today.
