    Lunch. An IPA brewed by Maine Beer Company.

    Audiologist cranked up the volume on my hearing aids today. Almost too loud. I asked her to turn it down a notch. That said, I am hearing sounds I actually forgot were in the environment.

    It's pretty amazing all of the sounds that we miss without them. I know I'm always surprised at how much more I hear that I wasn't hearing before. Makes my daughter happy too since I can hear her now and I don't have to keep asking her to repeat herself.

    My hearing got to the point I could not talk on the phone, have FaceTime conversations, and even understand what folks were saying while in the same room. I finally convinced myself I was missing out on too much. At my age it was not a vanity thing about wearing hearing aids but the perceived discomfort with them. I am still adjusting with the discomfort issue.

    This one is quite hoppy with a decidedly "American" flavor profile. I am enjoying it but it does not seem like a Zwickl to me; almost has an ale-like mouthfeel.
