Not sure if I was going to finish one or both of these bottles during my side by side comparison, but right now at the point of finishing the blended initial dual pour of each.

TLDR / WBAYDN summary - Lagunitas has negligible coffee but is an enjoyable rye barrel offering. GI Coffee Stout features really enjoyable coffee and the components blend well / make the beer exceptional. Still leaning on not buying more bottles due to price, but would enjoy future draft pours or perhaps clearance sale bottles down the road.

I'm going to pour out the rest of my Lagunitas into a snifter to enjoy either later today or tomorrow, and have corked the remaining 11 or so ounces of the GI coffee to enjoy either tomorrow or Wednesday. ABV is too strong at this point to attempt to close out either.

Good news for my wallet, since prices for beer are insane here. People that are into wine or scotch are even way off worse.

Howdy folks. Thanks @Ozzylizard for opening up shop here today. Things are going well, I guess. Slept well, had a good run, fed & watered. Guess I'll let up on the gas pedal a little for a while AFA beers go. We'll see how long I can maintain a 2 per day rule. I will figure out the skin allergy thing I have. I got it cornered. This rule now makes each beer even more special and ritualistic which is an interesting twist. Stone Delicious Citra IPA. Gently rolling this real beer... I love it. Lemon Drop hops are one of my faves. It's great to be here my friends. We're pretty fortunate to have so many beers to get lost in and to be together here to share our adventurous and exploratory beery ways. A very cool school. Cheers!!
