It seems that all the tap line length calculators are geared towards taps on towers or affixed to your home made keezer. I just open the lid on my freezer each time and use a picnic tap on my keg. I have my psi set at 13 (I am at 5500 feet altitude). 3/16 line. Beer temp is 38 degrees. What length would you recommend for the tap line?

This depends a bit on the material. Regardless of the style of kegerator the resistance calculation stays the same.

Assuming you have Beverage PVC it will be 2.2 psi per foot. Older line is closer to 2.0 per foot. About 15 psi of restriction works pretty well. Shorter will increase the flow speed and velocity, and that will increase foaming if it hits the glass hard. Install more than you want/need and then cut it back.

"Industry standard" is 1 pint in 8 seconds. That is for a busy bar. You and I can wait a few more seconds for a controlled pour.

    Cheers
