I’m not a big fan of it but a buddy of mine loves it and buys any bottle he has seen. To each his own.

CBS is on tap in both Grand Rapids and Detroit right now.

I’m a big ban of Backwoods Bastard and I do like well made pastry stouts (in small servings) but that French Toast Bastard was not good at all. CBS is amazing, Other Half is amazing. Make those 2 annually please.

Am I the only one that misses Curmudgeon? I don’t need it a a year round beer, just once per year release is perfectly fine with me. That used to be my go-to fireplace beer.

BAIS is superb. I agree mostly about KBS variants, but the base and Mackinac Fudge should stay IMO. Id like to CBS come back, though if Founders needs a new barrel supplier we’d have to see different it would be. It ages so well, too.

As the originator of this thread, CBS possibly coming back is music to my ears. I met some friends at a tap room here in Omaha last weekend that has 2019 CBS on tap. Great pour as usual. I still have about a case or so left of 2019, 3 bombers of 2018 and one last 2017 bomber, which I’m bringing to a bottle share this weekend. Yeah- I love CBS.

I stopped in and saw that. It appears to be that same 2019 batch still

I had it in the Detroit taproom sometime in the middle of October and I asked about that and the server said it was a new batch so idk.

Maybe we'll see CBS canned instead of bottled.

Could be true but sometimes servers are usually clueless.

There are certain packaging formats of which I am not a huge fan (e.g. stovepipes, pounders, bombers, 750's); however, if I see Lizard of Koz on the shelf, I'm more than willing to put these prejudices aside for as long as it takes to get the money out of my pocket. :sunglasses:
