What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3703

Reviewing and enjoying some seasonal holiday beers. Brasserie D'Achouffe N'Ice Chouffe is just simply fantastic.

 

Brunch beer - BCBS (2018):



Bottled 6/28/18. Poured at 53°. Bourbon and chocolate. Slightly alcoholic (15.2%). Drinks great at 4 years old! Christmas tree time! Cheers gang!

Been to the Jefferson Hotel probably a half dozen times or more over the years. I have not been though in over three years. Last time I went was to have brunch (which was damn awesome) with my youngest daughters future in-laws who were visiting Richmond to help celebrate my daughter and their sons engagement.

The place is really something to behold. Food is great. Kind of pricey so it is not a regular visit of mine.

Wild Turkey barrelled Bourbon County remains plenty chocolaty with booze as they try to harken back to the deceptive beginnings of this beer with a retro package.

 

I'm starting off with a yeller rose.

Yellow Rose IPA - Lone Pint Brewery

 

Carsberg’s Elephant.



Not a highly rated beer by any stretch of the imagination, but fresh it is MUCH better than the familiar, green bottle skunk bomb that most everyone (or most everyone of a certain age, at least!) is familiar with.

I didn’t special order it, but I did drink the whole case that came in this year at my local packie. And within two months, the green bottle skunked effect is easily detectable. This one has a best by date of yesterday.

I love that beer, bought a 4-pak for about $38. I went back today to get more and it's sold out, amazing taste.....Cheers!

 

Happy Saturday BA's! The wife decided to make brunch (12:00??) today instead of Sunday. I'm honored to join @russpowell with a bloody mary with jalapeno stuffed olives. Brunch drink will be this KBS Espresso stout. Have a great Saturday!!
