OK, so clock in/out status aside...my Muntz is hazy. Was not expecting that.

Smells right. Tastes right. Mouthfeel...ehhh, whatever. This is one happy idiot so far.

This is great news. Many would argue, and I would tend to agree, that Nelson was the OG hazy/unfiltered IPA.

You weren't expecting a well known hazy beer (Nelson) to be hazy? I'm confused

There were a couple of times in Nelson's history that it wasn't hazy.

Yeah, my first time trying Muntz and it certainly brings back some great memories. It's pretty spot on.

Shipping is back. $90ish for a half case, $160ish for a full. Maybe I'll pull the trigger this time.

I got a four-pack of Muntz from the good people at Bine and Vine last week and the cans were terrific. No oxidation issues for me this time.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm in for another mixed-case. This stuff was great. Muntz is still hazier than I remember but it tastes great. I actually enjoyed the other 2 beers even more. Easy re-up for me.

I bought a mixed half case last time but enjoyed Muntz way more than the other two so I just went ahead and ordered half a case of Muntz this time. Merry Christmas to me.

Finally had Muntz. I really wish they were setup where they could produce this in 6-packs and distribute all over SD County. The closest thing I’ve had to Nelson and probably the best Nelson hopped IPA I’ve had in a very long time.

My 2nd mixed case just arrived yesterday. My beer fridge is PACKED and I still have a mixed case of Highland Park's Hello LA and DDH Hello LA arriving soon. Great problem to have, I know!

    This is my problem too^^^
I can’t finish all the cans fast enough before more greatness comes out.

The $90 for half case shipped is right but I don’t think 160 is correct. It’s 20 for half case and 24 for full case. And yes I like to complain about the shipping price. Those are like North Park shipping prices. Casa Agria used to be free shipping for a case during the beginning of the pandemic. I think it’s $10 or $12 now. Still good. Kern River is the winner for shipping a case, free. But if you want less I ham a case it’ll be $12 for shipping. And all their merch is free shipping. The beers are totally different than McllHenney or NP. Kern does or some good cans as well.

Muntz is easily my favorite Nelson hopped IPA. The next best for me would be SARA Spots and Dots. I’m hoping to track some down (hopefully I can hit Windsor this week) so that I can try a side by side over the holidays.

Sara's Kohia Nelson I had 2 4pks last month, best Nelson IPA I've encountered since the glory of old Alpine Nelson.

All they need to do is partner with a larger brewery in town and start producing it on a larger scale. What could go wrong?

I had Muntz very early on in Macs production and it didn’t wet my whistle like when I first had Nelson. Raul is not a fan boy and won’t nut like a Jenny McCarthy poster in the 90’s when I was in jr high. I hope to try it again because I want it so badly to be glory
