    I think I remember how to open one of these....It’s been almost three hours since a post on yesterday’s thread, so I’ll get today’s started with one of my favorite holiday beers (crosspost with this weekend’s theme). The family if going to volunteer down at the Field Museum in person for the first time in almost three years today.

    Good morning @mschrei, and all.

    A week before Christmas festivities and I’m happy about it. Will see the uncle, aunt and my cousin, his wife and their son… it’s usually always fun even though as many families we only get to see each others during holiday season.

    Unfortunately I haven’t purchased a proper Christmas beer by now (@thebeers) but I should make up for that. Errands and shopping this time of year is a pain. Your thread about the broad term Christmas beer is good however.

    So enough chatter I am drinking St Bernardus Abt 12:

    I saw the song in your post, @Shanex, and I immediately thought of Sufjan’s cover. There’s an interesting live performance of this on YouTube, but the sound once the percussion comes in isn’t the best.

    This beer is good, but not amongst my favorites in this series. @SawDog505, I will join you with snow pictures later. The frozen tundra of Green Bay, WI, is covered with snow that should last through Christmas.

    Good Day BAs! At my brother’s house, about 1 hour away from mine…he has a below ground wine cellar, and I leave beer here for when I visit. This morning’s coffee - KBS Hazelnut:

    Bottled 1/27/22. Poured at 56° straight out of the cellar. Nutty, chocolate, bourbon. Light coffee taste in finish. Still “fresh”, imo, at 11 months (i.e., I detect nothing amiss). A darn tasty variant to start this chilly 32° sunny morning…

    My younger sister will swing by to pick us up to go to the local museum and arboretum at 10am. Maybe lunch afterwards at the local brewpub? Cheers and have a great day from Huntington, WV y’all!

    Happy Saturday BA's! Off today, some errands are completed and laundry is going. Going to Ivy on the Square for lunch and to give out a few gift cards. Cool 44 degrees this morning so Terrapin White Chocolate Moo-Hoo is tasting great!
