Not sure if this is a flash drop or a new market: Trillium coming to Chicagoland next week (Open Bottle made a post). Based on other things I heard, I feel like they may intend to have more regular presence than say Other Half or Weldwerks who do periodic releases
Awesome! I was curious how long it would be after being in Wisconsin this fall and seeing trillium there
Oh wow, Trillium has been on my bucket list for several years now. Other Half and Weldwerks offerings have been available at Binny's for a while now (at the least the Binny's in Elmwood Park). Have enjoyed their releases.
Crafted just posted theirs. $7-$9 per can! Galaxy Dry Hopped Fort Point Liquid Mettle DIPA Stillings Street IPA Love the Tavour pricing!
not sure if they’re here to stay-ish or if this is a hot drop, but if they’re here to stay these beers will be laying around for a while.
Beers that sell for $18-22 at the brewery for a four pack are priced at $28-36 in a new market. What a great strategy.
Alchemist and Russian River starting distribution here, plus Beachwood shifting from once a year to regular distribution would complete my wish list. Fat Heads for Head Hunter would be nice as well and likely the most realistic option to start at some point, despite the fact Alchemist distributes west of us to Colorado and California, and Russian River east of us to Philadelphia. Might try a single can of Trillium if fresh, but mostly out of curiosity.
Did not see the "would complete my wish list" initially, and almost lost my mind. I'd kill for Alchemist, which really scratches an itch I rarely can around here (Hallow from HA is the closest to that type of IPA I've had in awhile, I think). I've only had a single can of Trillium's stuff, and I wasn't blown away. It was great, but not really better than the stuff around here; the one thing I'll give them is that (at least for that can, can't speak to the rest) their carbonation is pretty perfect.
Ditto. I was underwhelmed by them. You do realize the trucks would most likely have to pass through IL?
Does anyone have a specific location for this? I'm in the Wheaton/Naperville/Bolingbrook area looking for these. Thanks in advance.
