According to UT, Bottle Theory Elmhurst has it listed. Not sure it is the closest spot near you having it, however. Good luck.
I will gladly sign your petition. As much as I would love to see the first two, Fat Heads intrigues me the most. I mean I've never even had any of their beers but they seem to be right in my wheelhouse and would certainly like to try them. Here's to hoping we see a drop from them at some point in the near future. And, sure, Bodhi would be nice to include as well while they are packing that IL bound drop from OH.
I love Bodhi and certainly enjoy Fat Heads. I’m skeptical they’d do well in this market if here consistently. They’d need to figure out a plan that Odell and others did not
So Trillium is a Chicago shelf turd now! Crazy... Was at Binny's and saw Galaxy dry hopped Fort Point, Stillings street, and Liquid Mettle on the shelf. Pretty fresh too. All cans had canning date from the beginning of December 2022.
Fort point Galaxy is good Galaxy. Not overly intense, but high quality Galaxy for sure. First time I can say good Galaxy in years
These three cans are the ones showing up everywhere. Some other stuff is showing up on draft only. Grabbed one of each can to drink and tried one of the draft options at Orange & Brew last night. My initial thought was they're good, but hazies just do not do anything for me anymore.
35.99 for Liquid Mettle. Liquid Mettle? More like Liquid Gold, amirite? <crosses out oldest joke in the book>
Yeah I had a DDH Fort Point in like 2014/2015 or something that was amazing. But these days we have plenty of hazy producers that have met or exceeded them.
Yeah the price is too high for me for a hazy. For science, I am curious how the galaxy dry hopped fort point is... I really liked that beer when Trillium first opened, but a drop in quality was apparent after a few years from Trillium
The DDH Fort Point I had on draft was really great. Lots of hop saturation at the lower ABV. The lack of sweetness compared to Midwest haze stood out
Interesting all the people calling Trillium stuff hazies. Back in 2016 I don't think we referred to those same beers as hazies at all. Looking through my tasting notes, the Trillium stuff I had was either rated as bad or similar to TG stuff at the time.
Wasn’t TG stuff pretty great in 2016? I don’t remember a ***** in the armor until they contract brewed Pseudo in Florida
Yes, it was a compliment. Half the Trillium stuff I had was as good as TG (no need to pay a premium when you can get TG easier and cheaper) the other half of Trillium stuff I have had was very poor.
