Christmas Weekend Beer Lineup (2022)

    much in the style of the “Thanksgiving Beer Lineup 2022” that @REVZEB posted (which was a great deal of fun!), let’s see everyone’s Christmas weekend lineup.

    i have been painstakingly assembling my lineup and think i have it finalized. of course, these types of things are always subject to last minute change but here’s what i have so far:

    Christmas Eve’s Eve:
    trying to take it easy but also looking to drink something special.
    Side Project Single Thread 2022
    The Veil Pallbearer Reserve Melange

    Christmas Eve:
    Shared Fra-Gee-Lay
    Side Project Kriek Du Fermier b2
    Samuel Smith’s Winter Welcome
    Phase Three P3 Czech-style Pilsner
    Phase Three P3 German-style Doppelbock
    Side Project Beer : Barrel : Time 2022

    Christmas Day (morning):
    Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout 2022

    kind of planning on taking it easy throughout the day on Christmas so only the one lined up so far.

    ...well, I can't say I've been painstakingly curating a Xmas beer lineup, but one (Great Lakes 'Barrel-Aged Christmas Ale') is definitely on the list (one I was going to revisit for last weekend's winter / holiday ale online tasting but didn't get around to it)...the other likely candidate is StormBreaker's 'Winter Coat - 2022'...

    ...Mrs. BeerGoot and I along with Oscar 'The Sun King' dog will be celebrating Xmas by ourselves (health issues with our brother-in-law in Parker, CO preclude us from celebrating with Mrs. BG's sister and her husband)...I volunteered to try cooking a French dish for our meal - slow-cooked boeuf Bourguignon (where I'll try prepping the meat and veggies the day before and then tossing them into the crock pot Xmas day), so these two beers likely will serve as some sort of quasi-metaphysical liquid conduits to this meal and general feeling of holiday cheer...

    Im not going to list a lineup because I really dont know what that would entail. I will be drinking wine, bourbon and beer. The one I know im drinking is Guiness (America) Old Fashioned Inspired Ale. Might crack that tomorrow and if its good get more.

    As empty nesters it will be a quiet day on Christmas, and with a prime rib roast on the menu I'll probably opt for a red wine. Our daughter and SIL with our two grand kids will be here on Monday (weather permitting), and he's a beer and/or bourbon drinker, so I'll go with what he wants. I don't have any special Christmas beers but a wide variety to offer plus we can dip into my cellar for some BBA beers.
