Tree House - Quadruple Shot (Vanilla)

A lot better than the Extra Dark version, which was INTENSE. The vanilla makes this much more balanced and drinkable.

1) Sprecher Abbey Triple (8.4%): A Belgian Tripel from Wisconsin with flavors of lemon and banana bread. Some spice and yeast. Mostly smooth and thick.

2) New Belgium Trippel (8.5%): A Belgian Tripel from Colorado with flavors of flowers, coriander, Belgian spices mixed with some yeast, bread, and a light honey malt on the end.

Winner:

2) New Belgium Trippel: Sprecher didn't stand a chance here. New Belgium has a wonderful Tripel by all of the beer metrics. It captures floral Belgian flavors and spices balanced by the yeast and honey bread malt sweetness. It's as drinkable as a lager, flavorful as an IPA, with a complex Belgian mouthfeel. I always remember this one being one of my favorite Tripels. Haven't visited it in a few years, but figure no better than the last day of 2022. Have a great end to 2022 everyone!
