Bad apples! I usually just use “direct link” from PIMG and don’t seem to get any extra funny business going on. Err urr. Guess we’ll work through it.

FYI Imgur removed the share links feature. I just tried to post something to the Cellar Reviews forum and was having a ton of problems because of it. Flickr ended up working

 

Is this from PC or mobile?

 

PC, I've never been able to get the share links on the mobile app

 

Unfortunately, I can't find anything else that seem to be suitable substitutes. I tried Imgbox but the pictures took forever to download in the forum so it's not really acceptable.

 

I just uploaded a pic from Imgur without any issues.

 

I've used Imgur for years with never an issue on my desktop and laptop. However, the screen that I use to copy the Direct Link looks totally different from your's. I have an account if that is different from you.

 

I can't get flickr or imgur to work from my mobile, any suggestions or help? Thanks in advance.

 

Same issue I'm finding. Can post on a PC, mobile is a no go. Postimage was the only one I can get to work on mobile.

Any ideas folks?

 

My PC is just not a part of evening beer routine, not willing to go that route.

 

I quickly got tired of the issues with the "free-lunch sites" since eventually they get you with image size/age restrictions, download quotas, ads, watermarks, outages, subscriptions, or they just go under. I went with the paid site DropBox and never looked back. I also use it to store backups of all of my pictures, and anything else I want. There is no free lunch, at least long-term since they have to cover costs somehow.

I take pictures on my phone, share them to my DropBox public directory, then go to my PC to edit and post a link to them. I can post an edited pic in well under 90 seconds after taking it. Annual subscription cost varies by amount of storage. If anyone decides to go this route, I have a tip that makes the image more usable, simple edit to the link.

 

Sad to hear but I get it it.
Unfortunately that will be the end of any photo posts for me here.
I already went through this with Photobucket and lost all my pics.
Still will post but no pics going forward.
