    1) Badger State SKI-BRW (5.6%): A Czech Dark Lager from Wisconsin with flavors of chocolate, earthy and nutty, dark English malt flavors with a floral note.
    versus
    2) Brewing Projekt Dusk Beast (4.63%): A Czech Dark Lager from Wisconsin with flavors of chocolate, dry grains and a dusted cocoa and airy roast. (Both correctly matched blind)

    Winner:

    1) Badger State SKI-BRW:     A couple of Wisconsin breweries battle out the Czech Dark Style. Dusk Beast is good with cocoa and roasted notes. Although the Czech Dark style can be somewhat broad (BeerAdvocate doesn't have a description for the style yet), this new one called SKI-BRW gets the win for more flavor complexity. Has dark English malt, earthy, nutty, and floral flavors. My first beer from this brewery and probably not my last one.

    look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

    Clear, golden body; dense carbonation; thick, white head, sudsy and sticky. Huge roasted grain and nut smell; toasted dark bread crust. The taste is more lighter malt with a slightly herbal note; some semblance of roasted nuts in the background; very mild saltiness; toffee. Medium body; lightly velvety and smooth; nice warmth backdrop.

    The aroma is full-on heavy with this beer, all heavily roasted and salted mixed nuts. The taste doesn't quite reach that level and seems more balanced. Overall, well-rounded and distinct.
