West Coast IPAs from Californian brewers.

Had a solid offering from Ghost Town. Turned out it’s a collab with Altamont. (Both in the Bay Area)

Appears to be canned 12/29 so can recommend grabbing this one fresh. Didn’t take pics in the glass but you all know what clear beer looks like.

Other than the cryo factor, it’s all hopped with simcoe and our beloved traditional “c” hops.

    Love me some.Ghost Town.

I drank the fresh frozen Torpedo last night and was thoroughly unimpressed. But I love the bottles of Dankful that came in the mix. That's a damn fine wc ipa

I started the California West Coast IPA Thread two years ago. Call me a baby, but I still want one for 2023. I made one today (without seeing this post), and it got deleted. I’m not interested in beers that I can’t get. On top of that, California is kind of a big state with a lot of breweries, so making a thread just for it makes sense to me. Sorry if I come off as a wiener, but it’s just my opinion.

Yeah. There's really no need for two threads in this forum, so let's stick with tradition. I've updated this thread (started first) and the focus will be on West Coast IPAs from California brewers.

If someone wants to start a generic "West Coast IPA" thread (and include a lot of poser WCIPAs), that can be done in Beer Talk.

Gee, since half of California now resides in Arizona, can we play in this forum? :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably my favorite thread here. West is the best. From west coast IPA’s you get all these others branching out into cold, wet, California, clear, etc. All west coast styles. Raul rules here!

I would nominate Alesmith's WCIPA for consideration. I like all of the beers I have tried by them, but especially "Party Tricks".

This is why I generally avoid starting these things.

This one is great. Soon as i cracked it open the air was permeated with a blast of hops.
+100 points for them being in 6 packs and none of that stupid 20 dollar 4 pack shit. Paid 16 flat for the sixer

For my taste, that Breaking Trail was nasty. It had a very hard cactus juice type aspect. I buy all the special cans as the Bressi ranch brewery is between my home and my work. This was my least favorite in awhile.

There’s been avocado IPA’s so why not olive IPA’s?

Are they still doing a special release calendar now that everything is brewed in Colorado?

I don’t want to be a hater, but current Alpine Bad Boy is probably equivalent to current Martin Lawrence. It’s time to move on.

The Societe Moonlight collab black IPA is pretty darn tasty, if you go for that style at all.

Not sure this quite fits in the WCIPA thread (but doesn’t really warrant a new one).
