Hello...My awesome wife surprised me and five of my family/friends with a trip to STL in Feb for stout week.
Side Project is my bucket list brewery.

I expect stout week at SP/Shared will be crazy. For those who've gone before, any suggestions you can make that will help our trip to be amazing?

Also, are there other things to do or breweries to visit in STL while were there for three days? We're coming from VA, MD and FL.

    Thanks!
    Aaron

In years past stout week is somewhat calm at the cellar tues-thursday. It will be busy but usually no line and easy to get pours. once Friday hits both locations will be open to spread the love. There will be a schedule posted so you can strategically plan your times.

Definitely hit up Modern and 2nd Shift as @Heisenbrew suggested. Perennial, Urban Chestnut, Civil Life, Schlafly(I know heavily distro'd but they have decent food and a ton on tap plus down the street from Side Project), Wellspent, Heavy Riff, Narrow Gauge are all worth checking out as well.

Tons of good brewery recommendations above. Narrow Gauge is great if you want IPAs and Civil Life and Urban Chestnut for lighter/more traditional styles. Modern has a stout program that has really gotten good in the last few years. If you want a nice dinner Lucky Accomplice and Indo were always two of my favorite restaurants in the area although both semi expensive meals

don’t think it’s been announced yet but it’s usually the 2nd or 3rd week in february.

Bolyard's Meat & Provisions is right around the corner from the Cellar and is great for a reasonably quick lunch. Also, their broth cups are very handy for staying warm if you find yourself standing around outside for hours on a winter morning for some mysterious reason.

since tuesday is such an abundant list, it’s very possible unless they just pull them from the list.
