Good luck dude. You have to be close I would hope. Ann can't surely stay at the level it was before:popcorn:

DB Assassin b1? Or are you referring to rye DB Assassin?

Pretty sure it's only 2x DB Assassin b1(~800) for last batch of Ann (~1500). This new batch of Ann is all over the place though, one closed on MBC for 400, and a couple of razzes have run at 1100-1200, and just saw one close for 950. But I'm also seeing some ppl on FB offering 1500+ worth in beer for this recent batch too.

It's only Day One of sales....I would hope Ann would drop a little in value in the next 2 weeks.....hopefully.

it’s fucking sad we (traders/drinkers) have to watch secondary sales and razzles to see how to gauge where a beer’s “at” and what to offer up for it.

In a few weeks this batch will settle in value around 600. It will be released for two weeks, then they are doing lottery sales, on-site availability the whole time. This seems way more abundant than recent Samuel.

it’s a big tick for people so some one off offers are way too much.

that said I had it on site in November and it was quite tasty

This too is what I’m hoping for. I know there’s a lot of people that would love to even just try Ann, but the high value makes it too tough.

give it a month and it will be getting half what it is now. People giving up what they are at the moment are going to be kicking themselves

i suppose. but just because i (or anyone else) wants to try a certain beer doesn’t mean we are lowering ourselves to reselling.

You also don’t “have” to watch secondary sales or give them any importance if you don’t want to, and -I truly don’t mean to sound like a jerk- I’ve always found these complaints to be a little over dramatic and entitled.

You’re welcome to ignore secondary values and try to trade your Rye DB Assassin for Hoof Hearted IPAs at $4$ if you want. You’re also welcome to ignore secondary and try to trade your Ann for a bunch of lagers.

Just because one of these is unlikely to close just means that other people value a specific beer differently than you do and you might not get to try it via trading your beer for it… that isn’t even necessarily based on secondary, it’s based on the value you and others put on beers (which happens exactly the same in trading).

Definitely don’t mean to single you out because I see this sentiment all the time, and I get the frustration to some degree… I just think it can be a little misguided sometimes! Best of luck landing it though, for sure!

good points for sure. and i think you’re right: to a certain degree we do it to ourselves.

Let me know about this trader looking for IPAs and lagers going $4$ for Ann… it might happen between friends but I honestly don’t believe deals like that happen. Traders want to get their perceived value of the beer… in most cases secondary value is the easiest gage but not the only. I believe to get looks on your offer it often has to include a premium. Not in all cases, but that’s how deals get closed. I also believe you need an anchor beer if you want to gain any traction and I don’t know of any IPAs or lagers I’d consider an anchor these days.

Doing research to make a fair offer is not entitled. Doing no research and posting a stupid offer is lazy in my opinion. Also a waste of the posters time and likely to get thread shit upon.

Timing a trade like this is never easy… nice offer OP and good luck!
