Stone- Koteka Rise and Grind Crowler
Canned on the 8th and given as a gift from the homie at Stone
Imperial Red Ale with Papua New Guinea Coffee aged in Bourbon Barrels
One of my favorites that they've ever made and glad to have another crack at it

 

1) Steel Toe Brewing Schwarzbier (5.22%): A Schwarzbier from Minnesota with flavors of dark chocolate, dark grains, toasted malt and an earthy yeast. Dry and clean.
versus
2) Lakefront Eastside Dark (5.8%): A Schwarzbier from Wisconsin with flavors of dark grains, barley, caramel, and mild vanilla notes.
versus
3) Sprecher Black Bavarian (6.0%): A Schwarzbier from Wisconsin with flavors of dark grains, bittersweet cocoa, light coffee, roast. (mismatched #1 and #2 blind, but correctly identified #3)

Winner:
1) Steel Toe Brewing Schwarzbier: Lakefront was the worst with the least amount of flavor. Sprecher is fantastic and more robust with chocolate. Sort of borders a porter in my point of view. My first try from Steel Toe brewing and did not disappoint. This one is dark, grainy, and roasty. This style is growing on me. A great beer for those that like lighter beers during the winter months.

 

A late Christmas present from my boss and first time ever trying anything from this brewery. (Pretty good!) @rpbuckeye

Harbors:2 from Wax Wings is pretty damn great.

 

Wax Wings has an insane barrel program, especially when it comes to Barleywine. Actually, everything they make is on point. So jealous! Cheers!

Hop Butcher Viaduct DIPA (Mosaic, Simcoe, Peacharine). Not my favorite style anymore, but still a treat to have from a brewery that knows how to do them. Peach rings, ripe white peach, some blueberry, dankness, and ruby red grapefruit to name a few all wrapped up in a soft, creamy feel. A tasty NEDIPA.

 

A beer that needs no introduction at this point...

It's been a while since I have posted. Had a biking accident and was asked to stay off all social media until settlement. Well, settlement occurred so here I am.

I thought I would start back with this one. One of the best American Hefeweizen that I have had. If you are not from WI you might not know what a Bubbler is. Around these parts a student asked to go to the bubbler to get a drink of water.

There are a staggering amt of beers IMHO that should be available 365 and many, from like 10-15 yrs ago that should be brought back. Cheers!
