I'd just kinda like to try this.

 

I think that was the key. I did the same and had no issues. Refreshed the page and Boss Ryeway was sold out.

 

I was able to get some 4-packs so this was a smooth release. Obviously if I failed to get 4-packs then Rev would be at fault and it would have nothing to do with supply and demand.

SP online releases trained me well for today. 4 minutes was an eternity in some of their earlier online drops. 0 margin for any error on these, and even then, sometimes it wasn't good enough.

I thought about doing separate transactions, circling back for Boss, but decided to just go whole hog. And glad I did as I anticipated this to sell quick. The limit 2 and unlimited proxies made this the pretty likely outcome.

I avoid Shopify on fast finger beer releases like the plague. It sucks and it's screwed me so many times. I used Gpay and flew through like usual. Was waiting in line for maybe 1+ minute before getting the transaction through. Congrats to all that scored (more) today!

 

Same here. I used it for the thundertaker release as well which sold out quickly. I think having all that info presaved buys you a little more time as opposed to having to enter your contact information and CC

 

And by Shopify I mean Shop Pay. It's always a mess.

Also, the Instagram comments are fairly entertaining. People are SO helpless and not very smart. It's great.

 

Keep in mind it's a beer from 2019, so it's not been in oak from 2016 til now

So the Whole Foods on Chicago/State tapped Double Barrel VSOJ tonight. Seems weird they would have it this early. Even better it’s only $10 for an 8oz pour.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I found it too sweet

 

I always make it a point to offset the butthurt responses by leaving positive ones. People are 10X more likely to leave feedback when it’s a negative experience, so I feel it is important for the good people at Rev to know and see that some of us appreciate their effort and beer. No release is ever going to be perfect.

You're the vanguard! I know in this video they're talking about Boss Ryeway '23 and you're talking about DBVSOJ, but interesting to see the brain trust talk about sweetness and Marty correct them that it's perceived sweetness and statistically it's one of the drier beers from this season. Curious to know where DBVSOJ came out on the alcolyzer from this perspective. @BeerCruncher any intell there?

Also, that DDB meme from today with Marty in it was classic. Hopefully he feels loved by that.

For sure. We can say a lot of things about DDB, but dude meets demand when the supply is there.

Much like his prose, I just dont’t get it. This is legitimately like hieroglyphics to me.
