@mickyge this is a crappy recording but seeing these two play together in my youth, way before the wonders of YouTube, would have blown my mind.

 

My buddy and I were in Chapel Hill (1970) the night before we were flying off to Europe for the Summer. We were on bicycles, had a pack of dogs following us, and a cop asked us what we were doing. We were at The Old Well. We said we were touring the campus in preparation for a documentary. He was properly confused. Then we were Indians and saw a Black guy taking out some refuse from a restaurant. My friend points at him and says "white man". We walked into a 7-11 and up to the counter and looked down. I said, "yeah, we'll take that". A guy walks up and says "Hey, that's my stuff"!. We were at Gatwick mid-.day. London was very sane and Hunter S. Thompson always made sense to me a little bit.
