I’m not saying that pastry isn’t associated with pounds a bunch of different adjuncts, but I always thought of pastry as the amount/depth of at least one ingredient used rather than the number. Seems like lots of people call some Vanilla stouts pastry just because of how much it might knock you over the skull.

That said, not that anyone asked or cares, but it seems hard for me to think that having strong flavors from just about any adjunct, let alone many, would be tasty in a BW. I know people have said vanilla can work, and I can kind of see that. Similarly I can kind of imagine some fruit working…again, with a deft hand. And I enjoyed the BCBS Coffee BW, so maybe a small of coffee might be OK. Just having a hard time reconciling something like…truffles, or coconut, or Fried chicken, or - hey, use your i imagination.

Even if it was a collab with FFF’s Marshmallow Handjee and Rev’s Straight Jacket called Marshmallow Jack’ It?

Also, I'd like to think "Straight Jacked" was either a) intentional or b) an autocorrect that reveals much about you.

Agreed on bastardizing #life too egregiously, but fruit can and does work, sometimes very well. Bottle Logic's Flesh to Stone was a revelation. The beautiful Arcane Rituals was already aged in part in peach brandy barrels, but the way they added peaches and how magnificently that worked was incredible.

Agreed. Pulled a molar out after the first can.

Good to see they’re still charging a premium during the parties for the failed BA beers.

Between Le Petite Deth and The Sanctuary, they are halfway to a Hunchback of Notre Dame themed night of bad $10 pours.

Yeah it was still packed around 830 when leaving Revolution. Busiest that I have seen Revolution variants day in years...

Me too! The single barrel Rioters Reserve was just incredible and DBVSOJ honestly held it's own against the single barrel Rioters Reserve keg after it had kicked...

Both Rioters were fantastic. I’m not a big apple brandy fan, but the DB was glorious.

Glad to see the two Rioters, Boss Ryeway and Sanctuary 13 all back on the list today after they had kicked last night

I got here 5 minutes or so after open and no line. There was a line for pours inside but it’s been gone for a while now

I sometimes skip the first few days of a release and then show up as soon as I can the next week; a lot (not all) the variants tend to still be on, and it's way, way more relaxed.

Haven't been on here for years and haven't waited in any line for beer since like 2013 but DB VSOJ made me do it! The atmosphere and the payoff with DB VSOJ being so amazing made me nostalgic for the old days of the craft beer scene. Revolution killed it with their beer! Well besides Santuary 19 being a drain pour... I'm excited to see if I can get a season pass when they offer it again.

So you're saying that Rioter's Reserve is not going to make it into any crowlers?

No idea but we went deep into our reserves to keep DB VSOJ flowing all day yesterday so not a lot left to work with, aside from what we saved for today.
