Repo Man rules. Apples to oranges, really, but no shame in your opinion.

Yeah, I got the VIP and season ticket mixed up.

Limits on season tickets isn’t a bad idea, although as to what it should be I don’t really have an opinion on that. I bought one season ticket, so for me a limit of one would be fine.

As for price point of $360/season being a deterrent for some, I can understand that, although if I had to take a guess that number will go up for the season coming up. I hope it doesn’t but I can understand if it does. Cost has gone up on virtually everything, so I don’t see why beer would be immune. In which case, there will likely be more who will drop off from season ticket, only to be replaced by others who are ok with higher price.

Just to be clear, old VIP members did get first dibs on the season ticket before it was opened up to everyone, although that's more or less irrelevant now.

Interestingly enough, my original invitation email also said:

"As a recipient of this email (and a member of the old VIP program) you will be allowed to pick up any preorders a day in advance regardless of whether you buy a Season Ticket."

Also irrelevant to me and the others who ended up buying the season ticket, but it seems like they did intend to keep one old VIP perk intact for last year's releases before fully transitioning to the new system.

$360 didn't deter me from buying 2...I feel like that was an appropriate amount since I was buying pretty much minimum 2 of each pack (other than ryeway) at every release anyways. I'll keep them both unless we see some exorbitant increase in cost. Doubtful with Rev. I wouldn't be surprised by a slight uptick, but would be absolutely enamored with the cost remaining the same.

    $4$ would be more like:

    FT: 1 can DBVSOJ
    ISO: 8 cans Repo Man

Yeah, I got 2 and strongly considered 3 myself. I decided I'd probably want 3 of most but not quite everything, so I just added on purchases as appropriate. I'm sure I'll have about the same decision process next year too.

For anyone interested in the Deep Woods program in particular it's also worth going way back to episode 98 with Jim Cibak and Marty Scott. Interesting discussion of their blending approach, which I think we've really been enjoying the fruits of in the last couple years.

“Honey, we’ll save approximately $800 a month or $9,600 a year. With season tickets at $360 we can buy 26 season tickets with the savings for $9,360 and still come out ahead of what we were paying.”

That’s not entirely true. The email that came out said that current season ticket members have priority to renew next year. Assuming that most VIP members ended up in the season ticket program, it’s basically the same program, just swapping money at point of sale for money up front.

I was racing to say “where the hell are you paying $200/week for daycare, and I can I please have the number”, but then I saw you’re located in Iowa.

chicago is 3x as much, so I pretty much just flip sought after alcoholic beverages to pay for day care at this point.

Yea, I love Chicago, but 3x the price would be tough to swallow..... I know we are lucky living a bit outside the Des Moines metro. About 8 miles separates us from paying another $100/month....lol

Who needs daycare when you can just take your kids to run wild at Revolution?

Just make sure to get the kiddos out before DBVSOJ or other special beers kick as you don't want them learning worse behavior from the neckbeard tantrums.

At that point isn't it cheaper to just be unemployed?
