NERAX is back!!!

    The New England Real Ale eXhibition (NERAX) returns to the South Boston Lithuanian Club on March 29 - April 1.

    There will be around 100 unique offerings of cask-conditioned beer and cider from the US and UK. Most of these you won't see (or will rarely see) anywhere else on cask in the US!

    We'll offer 5 sessions over 4 days with new offerings every session. So join us more than once! Food vendors will also be on site to help fuel your sampling.

    March 29 to April 1, 2023

    This is the best beer news this year. I don’t care that it’s January, it will be the best beer news all year.

    I've been wanting to go to this for years. I think this is the year I finally get to go.

    Looks like tickets aren't quite ready yet, unless I'm missing something.

    So glad to have seen this on their social media channels yesterday.
    I'm hoping I'll be able to get there for at least one session - but my work schedule is different now and it's tougher to get out.

    What was the format in previous years?

    Day sessions? Night sessions? Both?

    Small samples? Full pints? Both?

    If I recall correctly, night sessions Thursday/Friday, day and night sessions Saturday (I think they used to do a Wednesday session too).

    Hours were something like 5-9 pm for night sessions, and 12-4 for day sessions.

    You're given a $5 refundable glass (unless you want to keep it) that's either a Willibecher or an imperial nonic pint (depending on the year). They're marked at 5, 10, and 20 oz., you pick which size pour you want. You pay in cash as you go.

    Don't bring a hot date there, they'll never talk to you again. And if they do, marry up.

    Anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in the area? Wouldn't mind hitting the Friday night one and then finding a place to for dinner.

    Really nice - Fox and the Knife. I’d do reservations now

    Good pub grub (I like their deep dish) and very good tap list - Worden Hall (sister restaurant of Five Horses)

    Both are right up the street at the Broadway T stop

    Anybody ever volunteer for the event? It gets you free admission on a subsequent night. What if the nights sell out? Are you guaranteed admission?

    I don't think I've ever seen it sell out in all my years going.

    Never volunteered though either.
