    Hello VB Gang, With great sadness, I wanted to let you all know that we now have an empty seat at the VB and lost one of our own a little over a week ago, DrOfGolf. I received an e-mail from Doc's wife, Cindy, a few days ago with the sad news. Doc hasn't been on here in a few months because he wasn't feeling well, but was with us in spirit (and still is). Doc was a kindred, gracious, and thoughtful BA'r who loved hanging here at the VB. 'With his two sons, Brad and Brian:

    Doc's absolute favorite was Jai Alai and was his go to when they lived in Florida before moving to Delaware (unfortunately Jai Alai is hard to come by "in these here parts"). So throughout the day, my fellow beer nerds, in Doc's memory, I'll be sipping on some of the beers he enjoyed (in my Cigar City glass). After moving to DE, Doc developed a palate for Victory Storm King (and Stouts in general). So, teeing off with the first one of the day:

    Dammit, he was my Jai Alai drinking FL brother until moving to Delaware. JZ, thanks for the update, terrible to hear but good to know he's not painfully fight a long term battle.

    I noticed his absence, may he Rest in Peace.

    We only once talked in private and he asked me one or two years ago about some foot pain and issue I was having before I visited my doctor and it was a heel spur. Not to mention the banter and other more thoughtful discussions here at the VB.

    Sorry to hear but farewell and the best to his family and friends.

    Happy Saturday, BA!

    Having a Chingas Black IPA from Twin Elephant. Has always been one of my favs from one of my fav locals. The abv on this batch i think is bumped up a little since i last had and it's thrown it slightly off-balance IMO. Still a nice Saturday starter though and i will never complain about someone local brewing a Black IPA. I still don't like crowlers though :slight_smile:
